Official vehicles, speeding and litter.
I drove past an official Makana Municipality car today who casually threw a full bag of rubbish out their window and into Fitzroy street. A few weeks ago another official car narrowly missed hitting my boyfriend on his run, as they sped through the suburbs at a ridiculous rate. How dare they pretend to care about this municipality when they so blatantly disrespect it. There need to be tighter controls around these offical vehicles. Lauren

"We need Naidoo"... Do we really?
In the Grocott Mail Friday, 12 April 2013 on page number 3, it read as follows "We need Naidoo". Who are we kidding. It is time to realy say that we need each other in building a better Grahamstown. I think that it is time to think and do what needs to be done in Grahamstown. Let us become a united community.

Some food for thought
: Regarding your Mothers Day Lookalike competition, Im sure there are a number of adopted children or children of so-called mixed marriages who would never win the prize for looking most like their moms but would look gorgeous gracing your pages just the same, & would love the chance to enter - next year, how about simply having a Mother & Child photo competition instead? What is going on with our MUNICIPALITY?
Sunday I witnessed a family on their way to CHURCH tip toeing through toilet paper , tampons, raw sewrage, and this being a policeman. DO SOMETHING AT DEVILLIERS CLOSE OR HAVE SUNDAY LUNCH WITH A BUCKET OF SH*T. This has just become SERIOUS!

The community wrecked Egazini...
The community wrecked Egazini. Now another R0,5m is going to be spent on it. Where is the logic?

Makhanda
The Egazini Ruins are a monument to Makana. Grahamstown is already on its way to becoming a ruin. Changing its name to will seal its fate.

How do you compare the re-naming of an international airport with the re-naming of a city?
OR Tambo is not a tourist destination its a gateway.
