White voices in the Madiba 'Your say'

Thanks Grocotts for the Your say section entitled Get well, Madiba!. I think it would have been good to hear the wishes of some white Grahamstonians as well, however. The page needs to be be representative of our whole community.

Rubbish collectors' strike

Perhaps Im not understanding the municipal rubbish collectors situation clearly, but is not having ones new uniform delivered on time sufficient reason to simply down tools? Also, rubbish in the Sunnyside area which was not collected last week Monday was only collected a week later, the following Monday. No back up plan was put in place to clear it sooner, which is unacceptable considering people pay for these services.

Reckless muni driverA woman driving a municipal vehicle this morning almost ran me over while driving recklessly. A few minutes later I saw her driving down Milner street while obviously driving way above the speed limit. The license plate was GGT 977 EC. She needs to be taken off the road.
